Planes

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is the closest airport to the workshop. Philadelphia is a US Airways and United Airlines hub, but both Southwest Airlines and Air Tran provide inexpensive flights to the city as well.

To reach Center City Philadelphia, located 7 miles from the airport, you have three options:

Taxi cabs regularly run between the airport and downtown for a flat fee of $28.50 (before tip) each way.

Lady Liberty Airport Shuttle runs approximately every 12 minutes to downtown and costs approximately $10/each way. For more information call (215) 724-8888 or visit http://www.ladylibertyshuttle.com.

The local light rail train, the R1, travels every half hour between the airport and downtown. The closest station to workshop accommodations is Suburban Station at 17th and JFK Blvd (3 blocks from the hotel). Tickets can be purchased on the train from the airport and cost $6.00. Trains

Automobiles

Philadelphia is located approximately two hours north of Washington, D.C. and two hours south of New York City. The following routes are intended as basic guidelines, but you are encouraged to use http://maps.yahoo.com or http://www.mapquest.com to confirm all driving directions.

From the North
Follow I-95 South to I-676 West. Follow signs for I-676 west and take the exit for PA 611/Broad Street/Central Philadelphia. This ramp will exit onto 15th Street. Follow 15th Street to JFK Boulevard and make a right. Take the JFK Boulevard to 17th Street and make a left. Continue for two blocks to Chestnut Street and make a left. Club Quarters will be on your right, next to the Rite Aid Pharmacy. Look for the large navy blue clock and flag with the CQ logo in gold.

From the New Jersey Turnpike (New York/Connecticut)
Follow the New Jersey Turnpike South to exit four. Follow Route 73 North to Route 38 West to Route 30 West. Follow signs for the Ben Franklin Bridge ($3.00 toll). After crossing the bridge follow signs for I-676 West and take the Broad Street / PA 611 exit. This ramp will exit onto 15th Street. Follow 15th Street to JFK Boulevard and make a right. From the West (Harrisburg/Allentown)
Follow the Pennsylvania Turnpike to exit 24, Valley Forge/Central Philadelphia, (76 West-Schuylkill Expressway exit). Continue on I-76 East and take exit 38 from the left lane to I-676 East to the Broad Street exit. This ramp will exit onto 15th Street. Follow 15th Street to JFK Boulevard and make a right. Take the JFK Boulevard to 17th Street and make a left. Continue for two blocks to Chestnut Street and make a left. Club Quarters will be on your right, next to the Rite Aid Pharmacy. From the South (Philadelphia Airport/Baltimore/Washington)
Follow I-95 North to I-76 West and take the 30th Street Station exit. At the light turn right onto Chestnut Street and follow to 1628 Chestnut Street at 17th (cross 17th). Club Quarters will be on your right, next to Rite Aid Pharmacy. Look for the large navy blue clock and flag with the CQ logo in gold.

Club Quarters is affiliated with the Parkway Garage located in Liberty Place — at 16th and Chestnut Streets. The cost is approximately $28 up to 24 hours. There are no in and out privileges and major credit cards are accepted. All tickets must be validated at the Member Service Desk.
